History of Hebron Area Dollars for Scholars

Hebron Area Dollars for Scholars^® is an affiliate of Scholarship America^®.  Scholarship America is a nationally recognized foundation with many locally based, volunteer-driven chapters in communities across the country.

Hebron Area Dollars for Scholars, which is a locally operated and supported foundation, was started in 1994.  Our chapter is a 501(c)(3), non-profit, tax-exempt scholarship foundation.  The Hebron Area Dollars for Scholars chapter is operated by an all-volunteer Board of Directors which has diligently worked on many projects and have been actively involved in publicizing the chapter's worthy benefits.

Purpose/Mission of Hebron Area Dollars for Scholars

Hebron Area Dollars for Scholars works with community members, school and business people, parents, and students to accomplish one common goal:  To provide increased scholarship opportunities for Hebron High School Graduates.

Rising costs of college education are closing doors to higher education for many individuals in our community.  Through Dollars for Scholars, we have an opportunity to make a strong, collective statement about the importance of education beyond high school.  Hebron Area Dollars for Scholars can provide both encouragement and financial support for our local students.
